Unlike other European countries, There are no special offers for electric cars in Luxembourg: you will have to choose a standard contract and tell the supplier that you have an electric car, so that they can adapt : the rating of your electricity meter (to prevent your meter from tripping when your car is recharging).
This was extended in 2016 with the installation of three electric charging stations in the car park of the Luxembourg City Conservatoire. The charging stations will be located on public thoroughfares and in car parks in such a way as to create a dense network, guaranteeing maximum, city-wide coverage.
As such, Luxembourg is now ready to welcome people who want to travel across the country in 100% electric car. With the introduction of SuperChargy charging points, the charging power has increased considerably: they supply between 160kW and 350kW, depending on the configuration of the site and the capabilities of each vehicle.
Luxembourg has moved up a gear with the deployment of a new generation of charging stations: SuperChargy. The first ultra-fast charging stations came into service in 2021 in the car park of the University Luxembourg – Kirchberg Campus. Now, they are spread across the country.
